with potassium deficiency with simultaneous treatment with digitalis.
to prevent potassium depletion (hypokalemia) (serum potassium below 3.5 mmol/l) in case of metabolic acidification caused by ketone bodies (ketoacidosis).
You cannot take:
if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to potassium citrate or any of the other ingredients.
if you suffer from diseases that are often associated with increased potassium levels in the blood:
Decreased amount of water in the body (dehydration),
limitation of renal excretory function,
Hypofunction of the adrenal cortex (Addison’s disease),
Congenital muscle weakness that occurs in fits and starts (hereditary episodic adynamia).
